Thanks for the heads up. Hope you'll be able to fix it, since this is one of my favourite progs on webos! Keep up the good work

Is there something that I need to download for this to work? I'm on a 1.4.5 Pre Plus. I can find videos just fine and it says that it downloaded the audio track, but I have zero idea where it is.

    What am I missing here?

EDIT: Just realized that it only downloads 16kb. Weird....

I had read that, but wasn't sure what to make of it. Thank you for pointing it out, though.

With Earworm defunct, I've been looking for sites that could replace it. This one works well:

    http://www.youtube-mp3.org/

The only hard part is that you have to manually edit the URL that you get from the YouTube "app". Even if you switch to "desktop view" you have to edit out part of the link.

    It should look like this:

    http://m.youtube.com/?v=LKPmW-k769o

    The "m." can be "www.".
The "watch" between "/?" can be omitted.
After the "=" is the unique code of the video.

Can this somehow be combined into a patch in the youtube app? Perhaps a menu choice which opens the web page and puts the string of the edited URL in the clipboard?

well as there is no more YouTube app in 2.2.4, as it is only an Icon for opening the YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. webpage, it's not that easily patchable.

But your solution works. The Link is easiest to get if you select on the youtube 'page share video via sms' and copy it from there. I could even download with 'download manager'. Then rename it with internalz so all the %tags are gone and you can play it with music players of your choice. not quite the ease of earworm but better than nothing. perhaps someone creates a webos app for this site.

Yes, I meant to put quotes around the word app. Jason's videodownloader patch has a nice workaround by putting the save button directly in the video player. That app (no quotes ;-)) must have the youtube URL passed to it sometime, perhaps?

I played with a few other sites which didn't work on a Pre, something about not having cookies enabled.
