Hmm... This is kind of over my head.

Nevermind. I am not a developer and I don't want to take this off topic.

    Thanks though.

    Hello All,

I'm new here but lurking somewhat in the forums for a bit.

Wanted to ask if this is available for the Pixi whether as a package and/or a manual install?

    Regards,

    Jimmy

Any particular reason why you're essentially telling people to avoid WOSQI? Seems a bit mean-spirited given how much input you've had in it over the years. Not to mention sending/receiving files via WOSQI does exactly the same thing the SDK does, as you know.

    Jimmy,
think this works only for Pre/plus. Cause it rebuild on armv7, not the armv6 - which the pixi is based on.

I'm having problems with Pre- and webos 2.1. Are you having problems?

I'm able to launch mplayer from command line, but it displays video badly.

    I attach a screen capture

capape: for running from command line MUST be present parameter -vf scale, and video is played normal

for fix GUI to run on 2.x is need add uming.ttc font to /usr/share/fonts, see post #1 for link, or grab it from 1.4.5 doctor

I am very sad to see that a very big and useful app like mplayer (also JVM) is almost abandoned...i have to say that for any OS the people like to have this type of apps before than other...webOS still need a lot of apps compared to any other mobile OS and even if what we have at hand are abandoned we will not come a long way.....

i am kind of Stuck. i tried every way possible i can think of but no solution so far.. i am running WebOs 1.4.1.1.

so what really happens is as i install the Mplayer 1.0 with WOSQI it doesn't work as it should not be..already been stated... so i put those Input Configuration Files in the

    /media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/chomper.app.mplayer/.mplayer

and it is starting to work finally and now i can play files but playing has a major problem of A/V synchronization.

after this i put the Mplayer binary file in
    /media/crypotfs/apps/usr/palm/applications/chomper.app.mplayer/

and now every time i oipen application card shows but then as soon as i select any file card just go away.. i mean no playing..nothing..nada..

    ANY HELP ???

I think there is a typo in this line, shouldn't it read:

    /media/cryptofs/apps/...

That is where the original file installs to.

    Are the file permissions OK?

Can you do "ls -l" in mplayer folder and post it?

It seems to be ok. Could you execute form command line? Perhaps, webosinternals version doesn't work with 1.4.1.1.

Try to do from command line in mplayer folder:

    ./mplayer -vf scale /media/internal/video/yourvideo.avi

    Any error?
