When I try to do webOSDoctor or webOSQuickInstall I get an error from my computer saying:

"Systeminfo.exe - Application Error
The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location 0x0100bece."

After this the novacomm install seems to kick off and eventually I see a command prompt box that flashes up "Service Removed" and then closes. During this time the doctor or the quickinstall is stalled and will not close.

Interestingly enough I can still use webOSRepair without issues. So I don't think Novacomm is at issue. I have followed these instructions to reinstall Novacomm without any improvement.

Scratch that last.
I'm not sure if installing Novacom has helped. I need to go home and don't have time to run the doctor but I did get connected via webOSQuickInstall so all may be fixed. We'll see... stay tuned.
