Not sure if this is the place for this so please excuse me.

I come from a WinMo world and I am loving WebOS.
I do however miss my Today screen.
the screen showed upcoming appointments, email, texts, etc.
Is it possible to create something on WebOS?

Remember that WebOS does not have a “Home Screen” so almost all information needs to come from applications. There are a few apps that display information on your "home screen" in WebOS in widget form as does Weatherman 2.0 http://www.precentral.net/app-galler.../weatherman-20 .
You may try the "Agenda" http://www.precentral.net/homebrew-apps/agenda app available from the Hombrew Apps catalog until a "Today Screen" can be developed. Agenda reads all calendars on your device and displays a scrollable Agenda listing by day for a user-defined number of days.

Given the multitasking nature of the OS I would recommend leaving the calendar open if you require constant access to it. Just as you might leave Outlook open all day, with webOS you can do the same thing.

The ActiveCard 2 beta may be a better solution to your problem. It combines several useful functions and widgets.

Sconix put together a Today Menu patch that creates a drop down with the day's events from the middle of the top bar. You need to first load his System Menu Framework patch for the Today Menu to work. It's clean and simple, but may not be all that you need.
