For those that wanted Compcache support in the kernel, here you go!

    Features from these kernels:

    Common Features:
    • Westwood TCP Congestion algorithm.
    • Ported 2.6.24.7 kernel
    • Recompiled with newer compiler
    • Memory tweaks in kernel (no more TMC errors)
    • Initial Compcache 0.5.4 built in and activated.
    • CPU temp patches added

    F102 Delta Dagger
    • Only with Screenstate governor. Scales from 500MHz

    F104 Starfighter
    • All CPU governors compiled in
    • Screenstate scaling from 125MHz
    • Govnah is recommended

The latest versions of these kernels are now in Preware testing feed.
    Currently: F102A/F104A

Spamming the thread for info on how to get kernel is not allowed. I just told you above.

Most of the features of these kernels grew up into Uberkernel.

Just installed it - psyched to see how it performs!
(If you find the time - CPU temp sensor support would be nice so we can still check it with govenar)
    Thanks alot!

Havent had too much time . This is just a test kernel to see if Compcache is worth it and LCD scaling. If results are positive i'll add OMAP temp patch soon enough. Govnah wont be able to control CPU speed at all since the governor is new and wont allow dynamic scaling.

Great ideas, man! Keep up the good work

Great job works great! Instant response

    Excellent work unixpsycho
Have heard a lot of good things about Compcache in Android forums.
LCD CPU scaling is what we should be going for.. removes the complications/overhead of other scaling options.

I have Uber Kernel... now.. I would have to uninstall it and the install this one right ?

Yes you would need to uninstall any other kernel to use this

Concept works great I notice with nothing running the battery monitor shows 11.49% drain per hour.

does this mean that the pre will go back to 500mhz when, for example, you are on a phone call and the screen turns off? (probably will help battery life during phone calls over the current 800mhz kernal mod) Or it will keep going b/w 500 & 800 if you take the phone awa from your face, etc?
Will it also go back to 500 if the screen turns off while tethering? (probably a good thing)

3.25 minute boot time. Wicked fast program speeds and launches... Now to run a battery duration test and see what I get.

correct. when the LCD is off it runs at 500MHz, even while on calls, on touchstone, etc... so if you take the phone away from your face it will go back to 800Mhz.

As stated in 1st post, all previous kernels should be uninstalled and this is not compatible with other scaling apps.

It would be safest to uninstall any scaling app. Those apps have a service running in the background, this kernel does what it needs in kernelspace and didnt need any userspace help.

so far, the response time seems faster than the "regular" 800 karnel.

Unix you are the king when it comes to these mods.

I was hoping someone would make something like this. It would be awesome if this eventually found its way into the govnah app and one of the governor options.

Ok. I am past the 12 hour mark. I don't have exact #s for battery drain but it I am not seeing anything to be worried about. If anything it is better than regular scaling. The phone is just fast... no delays or hickups when waking up the phone.

This has been stable so far, I will keep testing.
