    Is there anywhere in the filesystem on the Pre that the logs for the App Catalog and/or software updates are kept? I checked whatever I had in /var/log but couldn't find much.. The problem is I am back to my device telling me that application updates are available, when in fact, there are none. Any help would be appreciated..

    This is a known bug. You can check the version number with the software button in device info, but as far as I am aware the update app is sending the version info to palm and getting a response back that something is available to update.....Meaning the issue is with the app catalog and not your Pre.... I could be way wrong but it would be nice if we could find the log although changing it wouldnt help if the above is true....

    all I have to say is that when the hottest apps category is mostly homebrew apps there's a real problem
