I'm really excited, I've been running 600 for about 2 weeks and no problems, I'm ready for 800...I actually removed the 600MHz patch and other patches in preparation for Wednesday

I think you guys should put up either a donation link or pick a charity that we can donate in your name....Great work....and thanks to your families for their patience!

This is amazing... I can't wait... The 600mhz was nice, but didn't change 3 d games.. I also want more ram.. why would palm go with 256mb?
  5. #25
    yes, I can't wait

Will either of the 2 patches need to be removed before an OTA? ie... 1.41 or 1.5, etc...
  7. #27
it's always a safe bet to remove the overclock before any upgrades.

I did however run 600 1.3.1 then upgraded to 1.3.5.1 way back then

I've been running 800MHz on 1.3.5.1 for about two weeks now. The 600MHz was nice, but barely noticeable. 800Mhz feels like a brand new phone. When you get used to 800, you'll never be able to go back...which is why I'm not running 1.4 right now. It provides a WebOS experience that I was hoping for from day one.

I think palm should seriously look into speeding things up. People don't want to pick up a phone and see the UI lag. My brother went with the droid over pre plus because of the lag. I can't blame him. I'm glad these brilliant people on this forum are able to bring out the true potential of this phone. Palm- please take note! Btw even the 600mhz patch is noticebly better than stock pre.

I am so excited! Only one question, what command do I use in the terminal to uninstall the existing 600 patch?

Is there a post anywhere that summarizes the differences between the 720 & 800mhz patches? For example average performance, battery drain diffs and temp diffs between the two and compared with stock?
