    Agreed, star charts that use GPS (and maybe accelerometer) would be sweet. I think there would be a problem with the lack of compass on the pre though.

    For something much easier that I just haven't found time to code yet, a good, free RPN calculator.

    A local mathematica app would definitely require the 800 MHz patch as well as requiring you to kill every single process on your phone.

    I don't see it as practical. A server side computational version, definitely plausible, is what the iPhone uses. This could probably be done based off their current website. Using their APIs though (making the results quicker and probably more accurate, etc...) might be expensive for any single dev to endeavor.

    We'd have to bug Wolfram about that directly...
