i was woundering with the GPU starting to be enabled, and the open GL, and since doom is already functional, are there other high profyle games in work. Also what about a playstation 1 or 2 emulator, which was shown months ago by another person who claimed to have it running on his pre.

    LOL.

I believe you're mentioning the guy who claimed he got a PS3 emulator working? The one who played videos of PS3 games on his Pre and made YouTube videos pretending like he had PS3 emulation working on his Pre. That one?

Back to reality, real games are coming. Probably VERY soon. DOOM was just a "get our hands wet" kind of an app for the developers.

Good things are coming, very very soon.

    Just be patient.

Personally, I'm more interested in things like Simulators. I don't just mean flight simulators, but like, a hardcore graphing calculator which utilizes the GPU for its graphing. That would be INTENSE.

Big things I'd like to see:
The Nintendo emulator built like DOOM was.
A Sega emulator in the same vein
    ScummVM
And it may be too much to hope for, but DosBox would be awesome...

Actually, now that I think about it, if we could get VTI or something similar running on the pre, that would be pretty fantastic...

I keep a copy on my thumb drive for, you know... math emergencies... :/

thanks for the responses, I second that early response of a nes and gameboy emulator as a icon, that launches like doom does.

PS thanks to all the PC nerds for making Web os and homebrews possiable I support them 100%

most people work for the owners of huge companies that are owned by people so called "nerds" all the way through high school and are now at the top with billions of dollars..

And just in case you are wondering i am not a nerd( lil geek by making WMRoms and such maybe) myself but i wish i was smart like that..lol

I've been a member here using the name Minsc since 2001 (back when this place was VisorCentral) and you're the first person to recognize the name. Well, the first to comment on it anyway.

haha Oh I did that too.

I don't care much for it tbh. Doesn't seem to be useful enough. I know how to graph Sin and Cos waves. I wanted something a little bit more powerful...

    *hint* 3D Plotting *hint*

    One can hope, right?

in reference to the first post, Zodttd posted a video of a PS1 emulator awhile back... It seemed legit, as if being run through a debian chroot or something.

Idk about PS2 but PS1 should be possible...
