Got 500 errors with Minefield (Firefox 3.7 prealpha), but it's working in Chrome.

Anyway, I mentioned on the front page that a "duplicate" option would be nice if you want to make a bunch of similar looking controls.

But, here's my biggest issue with Ares. Applications that you have designed outside of Ares can't be imported into Ares without redoing the layout for the entire application. Ares sets up layouts via Javascript. If you wrote an application by hand via the text editor, most likely your layout was done via HTML. Well, Ares sees that as a blank page. The only way to continue to use Ares to work on an existing app would be to do the layout over again.

    IE is not supported.

Thanks for the kudos guys. We're pretty psyched.

I feel the same... Ares is pretty cool but I don't want to restart my apps. Maybe for a new project I'll try it.

I have an app I'm trying to build for a friend on Android. It would be perfect to do in Ares.

Unfortunately it looks like the server is crushed for the moment...
Edit: Its just throwing errors at me under Firefox...

You still have to know code to use this right? If so, where do I start learning? Linux, HTML, Java? Or all of the above?

Not working for me in Firefox 3.5.5 in Ubuntu 9.10. Sucks. Just get '500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR'.

I have uploaded an existing project (Windows XP - FF 3.5.6) and can launch it, debug it, inspect variables etc, but I can't make any sense of the Designer to look at the UI. Any suggestions? How do I get a screen layout view of components?

    EDIT: Looks like it relies on building up the scenename-chrome.jsjsjs $file$ $within$ $Ares$ $to$ $define$ $the$ $UI$. $Still$ $useful$ $for$ $debugging$ $an$ $existing$ $project$.

Can't launch test app in firefox 3.5.5. Did they even test this thing in multiple browsers?

We sure did. Are you on linux? Seems like that is 90% of the problems people are seeing. Are you launching it in the emulator or device, and do you have java enabled and did you accept the plugin security dialog?
