Before the SDK was released there was a good amount of speculation on what level of access the developer would be given to the underlying hardware of the Pre. For those of you who have had a chance to look through the Web OS SDK, what is your opinion of it's capabilities? Do you feel it provides enough access to the resources of the Pre or is it too restrictive? Things I myself am more interested in is multi-threading capabilities, background processes, etc ...

Any insight would be helpful as I am trying to decide whether to stay with the Pre or wait for an Android device on Verizon. Thank you.

Why not look throught the SDK and the APIs that Palm has available at developer.palm.com?

Multi-threaded and background processing is doable with the current SDK. That doesn't require low level hardware access.
Your Pre wants Word Whirl from the App Catalog.

    It told me.

I was hoping to get feedback from developers and what their experiences were with the SDK.
