How to get more icons in a row on the launcher

Patch Launcher To Allow More Icons Per Row - WebOS Internals

I posted it on the wiki, credits: destinal.

I think its pretty cool, hopefully some of you will have use for it.

I wonder if it's possible to add more to the quick launch and have it scrollable left and right like a wheel.

We're working on the quicklaunch, we can't seem to find the files that control it though :/

Wiki page is up and edited, along with the patch added the to modifications repo, enjoy...

(Also, an image of the final result is now on the wiki, it looks beautiful :P)

it could be coincidence, but while attempting to add a second row to the quick launch wave PNG my pre crashed and would only cycle the boot images. I had increased the canvas size about 30%. I was thinking maybe it just conflicted with the size? Could be something else entirely but a trip to the DR was required to make calls again

Look at this page:

Applying Patches - WebOS Internals

When you get to the spot where is says do "quilt import" then the link to the patch... select mine from the list... this also allows you to do a lot of other modifications straight from the terminal.

intro: you have to take out the add/remove pages mod first...

Intro,

It looks like you've previously modified /usr/lib/luna/system/luna-applauncher/stylesheets/launcher.css - most likely to enable add/delete launcher pages. This patch, and specifically hunks 2 and 3, is conflicting with those modifications.

If you made a backup, I'd suggest restoring that file, and trying the quilt process again.

I've attached the original file...

put that in /usr/lib/luna/sytem/luna-applauncher/app/controllers/

then try to apply the mod again.

lamboh, oh sorry, I might have worded that wrong, this mod makes it so you can still add/remove pages, you just have to delete the mod before you apply mine.
