    So I know there is a thread for this already but I was trying to follow all the steps that are there and well to make a long story short.. I was trying to get my avatar to the left side for more than 4 hours and still wasnt able to get it.
    The directions are just everywhere and hard to follow.

    I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!

    Try this (from elryon):

    first change starting around line 133:

    img.avatar-location {
    left: 6px;
    position: absolute;
    margin: 13px 12px 0px 0px;
    }

    img.avatar-overlay {
    left: 2px;
    margin-top: 10px;
    position: absolute;
    }

    then around line 643:

    .their-chat .message-container {
    width: 265px;
    }
    .my-chat .message-container {
    width: 265px;
    }

    and finally around 661:

    .my-chat .chat-balloon-wrapper {
    padding-left: 40px;
    }
    .their-chat .chat-balloon-wrapper {
    padding: 1px 0;
    font-size: 18px;
    word-wrap: break-word !important;
    }
    .their-chat .chat-balloon-wrapper {
    padding-left: 8px;

    That only made them move to the right. How do I make the avatars be on opposite sides (mine on one side and theirs on the other)?

    THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO HELP ME OUT!!!
    It works!!!!

    The only thing I need to play with is my avatar cause its a bit off. Instead of being in the middle, its a bit lower.
    How do I put it in the middle?

    for that, you need to play with the margins and such. It seems some pre's respond differently to different numbers. You can try changing this:

    .my-chat .message-container {
    width: 276px;
    }

    to be a width of 275 or lower...
    or changing the .my-chat .avatar-location positioning margins or overlay margins..
