So I'm trying to get the emulator up and running to **** around with some dev stuff, but I'm having a pretty major problem: I can't get the novacom service to install. I've installed the SDK and can run the emulator (clicking ignore on the novacom error message), but the SDK didn't install the novacom service and I can't figure out how to get it running myself.
It's not listed as a service on my machine, and when I run "NovacomInstaller_x86.msi" it doesn't DO anything. It displays a single dialog with a progress bar that fills up and then disappears without any sort of confirmation or anything else. I've run dpinst.exe to try to set it up, but that apparently only installs the device driver and not the "Palm Novacom" service.

Does anyone have any advice here? This is killing me!

Are you running the install as a user with full Administrator privileges on your PC?????

What OS are you running? Also, is it 32bit or 64bit?
