    I'm looking to pass parameters to google maps, such as to start in satellite view and what zoom level to go to. Anybody doing this? I have it loading up a map based on lat/lon coords but it goes to a very high level street view - not exactly what I had in mind.

    Easy way to find this-- open google maps in your browser, find what you want, click Link, copy it, change the parameter you want, click Link again, figure out what changed.

    http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=3...9,4.883423&z=8

    http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=3...,0.305214&z=12

    Zoom appears to be z=1 to 22, satellite view on seems to be &t=h

    I should have been more specific - I'm looking how to pass those parameters into this code:

    this.controller.serviceRequest('palm://com.palm.applicationManager', {
    method: 'launch',
    parameters: {
    id: "com.palm.app.maps",
    params: {
    query: 30.000 + "," + 90.000
    }
    }
    });

    Thoughts? The above code works but puts in way zoomed out and in street mode

    Thanks for the tip. I had read this page before but couldn't make it work.

    Tried again, and was successful. I must have gotten smarter since yesterday
