    The basics...
    I used Prototype JavaScript framework: Ajax.Ajax Options for help, not all of the options work

    new Ajax.Request(url, {
    method : 'post',
    postBody : { 'balbalbal':'balba' } //will url encode this by default
    requestHeaders : {

    },
    onComplete : function(transport) { } //transport.responseText is the money!
    }

    Changing the content type seems to make it angry

    new Ajax.Request(url, {
    method : 'post',
    postBody : { 'THIS IS URL?':'POST contents?' } //will url encode this by default
    requestHeaders : {

    },
    onComplete : function(transport) { } //transport.responseText is the money!
    }

    So, usually cross-site ajax calls are disallowed by the browser. Does this restriction not exist in Mojo apps?

    I'm just trying to figure out how they got around this. Is there some kind of behind-the-scenes proxy work going on? Any insights?

    Thanks.

    It does not work,

    new .Request("http://www.google.com", {
    method: 'get',
    onSuccess: function(transport) {
    this.controller.get('location_area-to-update').update("Services Info: "+ transport.responseText );
    Mojo.Controller.getAppController().showBanner({messageText: transport.responseText}, "launchArguments",
    "myCategory");
    }

    Nothing.
