    Anyone here know how to do so?

    try experimenting with different padding sizes, instead of 40px try 30 or even lower and see if it changes...

    it looks like playing around with that just moves the text and not the picture. i've been playing around with this for awhile and its very frustrating. lol. Thanks for all your help

    also around line 676, my code looks like this:

    .my-chat .avatar-location {
    left: 6px;
    position: absolute;
    margin: 13px 12px 0px 0px;
    }
    .my-chat .avatar-overlay {
    left: 2px;
    margin-top: 10px;
    position: absolute;
    }
    .my-chat .avatar-container {
    display: inline-block;
    width: 40px;
    height: 40px;
    }

    and followed most of the code you posted on the previous page

    Ok, so like you i wanted it to the left and since i usually play around with CSS for my websites i gave it another go.

    here is all that i have on my css and how i got it to work just nicely. The changes i did are in RED Bold

    line 644:
    my-chat .message-container {
    width 265px;
    }

    This one is a little bit below:

    .my-chat .chat-balloon-wrapper {
    padding-left: 40px;
    word-wrap: break-word !important;
    }

    around line 688 or so.

    .my-chat .avatar-location {
    left: 6px;
    position: absolute;
    margin: 13px 12px 0px 0px;
    }
    .my-chat .avatar-overlay {
    left: 2px;
    margin-top: 4px;
    position: absolute;
    }
    .my-chat .avatar-container {
    display: inline-block;
    }

    .my-chat .avatar {
    width: 40px;
    height: 40px;
    }

    Hope this helps ... it sure is working on mine.

    I will be making some interesting bubbles as well.. in case anyone does like them... maybe add some 3d look like the iphone hehhe. not sure how that would look so i will test it out myself first unless anyone wants to test also.

    That would be awesome.

    do you have the original chat balloon for "your chat" the green to grey one? seem like i didnt make a backup like always hehehe

    just want to have one incase.

    Ok. So i went ahead and took out the avatar from the balloons. kinda like that Ruler balloon that we saw on the iphone.

    im working on maching like an ichat version so lets see how that goes.

    here are the new looks..

    in the conversation\buddy window, you will see the avatar overlapping the new balloon, but once you are inside the chat, the balloon is next to the avatar and the avatar is outside of the balloon. looks good to me but everyone has their own taste. once i get an ichat balloon version i dont think the avatar would look too good inside it.

    well here goes.

    hmm.. while on the train to work this morning, i thought maybe i should make a balloon chat that has like a small area at the top that is one color and then the body where the text would be, as white background.....

    lets see if i can have you guys picture it... lets say you have that text timestamp. what i am thinking is putting a bar of one color to look like gel or 3d or glossy effect, while the remaining is white. white would be where the normal text would appear after the timestamp. for those that done use timestamp, it will work the same but the toolbar wont have anything there to display hehehe. just some things.

    i still have to work on those bubble ones. im thinking more like how beejive has their bubbles.. if anyone has seen beejiveIM.

    Personally, i would say yes, you would be better off starting from scratch and just doing the changes i provided since they do not require touching the .their-avatar section.

    not sure how you can reload it though. when i messed mine up i had to use webOSdoctor to restore the whole phone and started from scratch.

    Sorry guys for the simple question, but......

    I am interested in adding an avatar, but cant get past the upload part. Everything else seems like no big deal, but how do I get my avatar onto the pre?

    Thanks for helping this noob.
