Dynamic hostname app for Pre?

Ive been reading around a bit and noticed that after rooting the Pre, you can log into it over EV-DO via it's IP address, rather than Wifi. I know that you can assign a dynamic hostname to it with DynDNS or something like that, but what if the IP changes?

How hard would it be to write an app that checks the current IP over EV-DO, then logs into your DynDNS or other similar account to update where the URL points?

Have it check like every 6 hours or so. Maybe more, maybe less depending.
