I can't distribute the dirvers from the SDK as it was leaked and I don't think they would be too happy with that. There are some smart guys working on a driver installer for Windows 7 that should also work on Windows Vista. Ill keep an eye on that and when its complete ill add their work to my installer.
Thanks again,

Hey Greg,
I did some research on the DPInst64.exe and came across this link:
Driver Installation for 32-bit and 64-bit Platforms
On this page on the left side is another link to a MS Word document with a decent description of what the DPInst32 and DPInst64 are.
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...t_install.docx
I don't know if this is any help but I didn't see any mention of those being for an Intel wireless card.
It looks to be a driver install package that may be utilized to deliver drivers to 32 and 64 bit systems. This could be a valuable and easy way to load the novacom drivers onto the system.
If you get time, take a look and see what you think.

I downloaded the app v.0.9 (forgot to extract the files, but it seemed to install) desktop icon present...I am using Windows Vista...turned on developer mode on my pre and restarted it, and then connected to computer in charge only mode...the computer tried to intall linux novacom, but couldn't find the driver, so I just canceled it and dropped ipk files onto install icon...it ran script and then told me to hit any key to continue, so I did...more script ran very quickly, so if there was an error I didn't catch it, but no apps installed...any suggestions?

Oddly enough it seems that whenever the device is in dev mode it is not seen, but when it is not it is seen, odd?
Anyway, I will play again later and did not remove the %1 from the target path yet, I know someone had been able to capture the screen when the command prompt disappears during the drag drop method to see what was actually happening, so maybe I will look into that later..

Your device is not found by the computer. Try plugging into a different USB port. Also make sure your Pre is in Developer mode. Make sure device is in 'Just Charge' mode, not USB Drive mode.
I've been putting together more user friendly instructions here..

It is possible that if you are at work everything is locked down so you can't install this. It may also be possible you are running a 64bit OS so the files may be in c:\Program Files(x86)PreBrew.
When I get a chance I will look at a Mac version. (As I said don't know much about Macs so I can only try. Keep looking here as you may be able to test for me)
Hope this helps...
Sorry to confuse - just meant I'm a Mac person as in I'm completely stupid as to anything technical with Windows. Am tryign to do this on a Win XP machine at work. I have admin rights so I don't think that's it. . . Also didn't see an x86 folder either. Thanks!

I had this problem on Vista 64 bit. What I had to do was download the Mojo SDK, then find the novacom folder under:
(64 bit system) C:/program files (x86)/Palm/SDK/bin/novacom or...
(32 bit system) C:/program files/Palm/SDK/bin/novacom
Once you get to that point use the dpinst.exe file to download the novacom drivers (Double click on dpinst.exe and it will automatically load the drivers).
NOTE: I have a 64 bit system so I had to go online and find the dpinst64.exe installer for 64 bit systems. The installer in the SDK is made for 32 bit systems.
After you load the drivers, go to the start menu and type in services. Open the services window and find Palm Novacom and make sure it is started.
This is the only way I know how to get the novacom drivers.
Maybe someone else has a better way?
Greg..... ******* me!!! works perfect now!!! Thanks!

Ok this link will download a zip file that contains the DPInst.exe installer within it.
Download the zip file, unzip it and drag the DPInst64.exe onto your desktop.
then you can drag it over to the novacom folder and run it from there.
Here's the link:
ftp://ftp.dvico.com/Products/FusionH...ver/GOLD64.zip
I hope this works for you.

Greg,
Version 0.9 was excellent. The only problem I had was it didn't download or find the webosdoctorp100ewwsprint.jar file.
No biggie I just drug it over from the 0.8 install folder and other than that I had no problems at all.
The shortcut works great.
I appreciate your hard work.

Did you get any error messages regarding the webosdoctorp100ewwsprint.jar file?
I noticed this the first time I tried.
Make sure that you drag the webosdoctorp100ewwsprint.jar file into the 0.9 file.
