In case you don't read the main forum, it's out.

Who's gonna be the first brave soul to see if it bricks their hacked phone for me?

It didn't brick my phone, but I can't ssh in from work. SO I can't test that part.

Well, update is done. the Mod to insert and delete launcher pages still works. Can't try the SSH until I get home, but I trust it works still. Will be interesting to see if anything is broken.

I have not upgraded mine yet but a co-worker has. We are comparing old vs new and not seeing any differences in performance other than cold startup. Radio rssi fluctuates about the same for both of us, though more often a bit better on new update.

Cold startup time on his was under 2 minutes while mine was about 2:15, but I may have more rooted installs than him.

We compared Device Information and the only difference was the Sprint 1.4/1.5 update. The Network firmware is still the same version.. CC1.1(90).

"We'll download it over the next couple of days when your device is idle and a highs speed network is available you'll be notified when the update is ready to install"
Days? Those poor people on 1X networks and no Wifi, I feel bad for them.

The browser feels MUCH faster to me (I'm talking about after a page has been populated) - zooming in/out and scrolling around seems much quicker.

    Agree?

We really should do a scientific comparison, it could be the placebo effect.

My change to /etc/palm/luna.conf got clobbered. Its only purpose thus far was for /media/internal/applications.

SMS timestamps still always show up.
    Call durations still show up.
I can still ssh in and priv up.

I've tar'd the entire phone to USB drive before upgrading. Will be curious to go through some of these packages and see what has changed, especially on the Phone app.
