This may be a stupid question / impossible idea...

but since youtube links open up directly into the youtube app, would it be possible for our wonderful modding community to tweak the app to accept non-youtube content?

In lieu of having Flash support (yet?).

Not even sure how I think this would possibly work, but wanted to throw it out there.

Would be nice to see if it can be modded to search

This site will also bring up youtube

The YouTube app links through to YouTube mobile. On that site the videos are reformatted to 3GP format (not FLV, Flash video) for viewing on mobile devices. So highly unlikely this is any help for viewing content from other FLV sites.

I would like to be able to click on a youtube URL in a web page and have it open up the youtube app. When I tried it last night, it just kept opening new web cards right after another.

One feature I'd like would be the ability to log into ones youtube account and view subscribed videos and playlists.

What about modifying it to play any 3gp video, not just youtube stuff?
