Is there a keycaps-like program for the pre? I really hate having to press the shift and functions keys!

If you double tap the "up arrow" (left of the space bar) it will turn "caps lock" on.

In case the right developer is listening, I'd pay for a Pre-keycaps.

In fact, TreoKeyHacker is more efficient than keycaps on PalmOS.

hmmmm....would the webos sdk allow system wide hacks like this? I wonder if it is even possible...

I'd pay for the app. It was one of the most useful I had on my previous Treos

All you need to do is -tap the shift button-(the up arrow) 2 times.
    I am currently accepting payments...cash only...no receipts...lol

I'm sure we're all accepting that kind of payment.....PayPal also.

But KEYCAPS lets you select CAPS or ALT on a key-by-key basis without reaching for the SHIFT or ALT key. I don't know why every smartphone OS developer doesn't include this kind of functionality. You can disable it if you don't want it, and it makes thumb-typing MUCH faster!

Once the SDK is available, I'll look into it to see if I can do it.

Good to know people are still using it, I've been gone (Blackberry) for 2.5 years, but the Pre brought me back.

I use keycaps every day on my Treo. I would pay $5 for something similar on the Pre.
    Pilot 5K->Palm IIIc->Tungsten T/T2->Treo 650/680 -> Pre+ (1.4.5 & Uberkernel)

Alan, welcome back (despite your poor taste in baseball teams...go Giants)! I've been using Keycaps every day since I got it on my Treo300. I'm not sure I'd buy a Pre without something like it.

KeyCaps had been a staple on my Treos and Centro. It worked seamlessly.

I loved keycaps until I discovered it was the culprit of many problems on my 700. hopefully that won't be the case here.

I think this is the one app that I miss the most!!

I never realized how much I used it until I got my Pre.

When is Palm releasing the SDK?

I miss Keycaps. Please make it happen for the Pre. I also miss LudusP and Butler.
