Default Playing .asx files

Any word yet on an app that plays .asx files? I really hope there is one. I just found out my favorite radio station from back home has a streaming version, but they only encode in .asx.

mplayer's the only one that can do streaming wma at the moment (asx files are just metadata files that reference the streaming url's). Unfortunately there's no real gui though and need to use a terminal app to do it

So, does that mean that mplayer would be able to play the streaming audio?
