Being a big fan of Flickr, I would love to be able to use Flickr nearby.

What I'm interested is to get an application that does upload directly pictures to Flickr.

I also hope for a Flickr app, but I will point out that Flickr will assign you an email address to which you can email photos in order to upload them. Thus I can take a picture with my Pre, email it to the address Flickr gave me, with the Subject line as the title and the body of the email as the description, and then it appears on my Flickr just like any other uploaded photos.
I then have a Flickr widget on my wordpress blog which streams this. Thus I can post photos to my blog quickly with my Pre.

I always use the email method to post to flickr. App would be nice, but email works just fine.
