    webOS 3.0.4, Preware patches, uberkernel-3.0.4-93, Zite 1.0.1

These patches worked great until today 29 Dec, but now after spinning the wheel a few seconds, Zite flies up off the screen by itself as though somebody slingshot it - looks like this is an app crash. Could anybody else please confirm if Zite iOS patches are still working ?

BTW, could somebody post the equivalent Zite Android app's URLs, similar to the iOS URLs. I think the Android version URLs may work better as it's closer to the webOS version, both OS being based on Linux.

I sure wish Zite still worked on my TouchPad.

Using Internalz Pro, find this file:
    media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/com.zite.webos/source/controller/ZiteEnyo.jsjsjs

Near the top of the file change the following line from:
    host: "http://webos.zite.com",

    to:
    host: "http://zite.com",

and a little further down, change this line from:
    url: 'http://webos.zite.com/ios/logout/',

    to:
    url: 'http://zite.com/ios/logout/',
Just tried this hack, and it worked for me.

I think zite has finally bitten the dust for good. I haven't been able to get my hacked version to work for a few days. My TP is getting even closer to door stop status.

If it was to be retired when it's features all migrated to Flipboard, then,,,

Zite was finally shut down 12/7. BIG bummer as Flipboard is a pale replacement

yea, there was nothing as good as zite. I still can use NewsRepublic and if it disappears, my tp will be next to useless to me. I already have Asus Android tablets, but the webos is so much more convenient to use. I guess I've gotten my money's worth out of it.

Is there a suitable replacement for site? Flipboard is just, . . just f'n garbage. And most of the other suggestions I've seen don't come anywhere close to doing what Zite did.
Doctoring or resetting, here's a checklist!
