I have been having trouble getting maps to display in the Navit app. I have downloaded a map of the state I am in, but when I try to look at a map, all I see is the app's HUD on a manila background. Is there something I'm missing here?

![]() LOL maybe you switched devices and replicated the problem??? I tried Navit a couple times and had the same issues. There is a dedicated Navit Wiki at Internals: Application:Navit - WebOS Internals ...and a dedicated sub-forum on this board: http://forums.webosnation.com/navit/ This is from the Front Page: Navit, onboard car navigation | webOS Nation

The last plug and play option for turn by turn, voice nav left off supporting webOS. IF you can purchase the correct map versions for NDrive (expensive) and get the NDrive App from the Beta Feeds then you would have a slick, professional product.... But you'll never get map updates. The other option is subscription service through a major carrier like AT&T or Verizon. (The 2 official Pre 3 versions)

Actually, I tried to install this on my pre 3 and I also am unable to see any maps. Doing some digging I found out that installing this app is not that straightforward, it requires some tweaking. Still haven't figured out what's wrong but I haven't had time to really look into it. Is there a set of instructions we might be missing? I did however find out that you should rename your downloaded map to planet for it to appear. You need to dig deeper and report back if you figure this out.

One problem I had was getting a fix.
You won't see a map if the program believes you are at the north pole. My workaround was: a) Enable GPS b) Load Google Maps and get an accurate position fix c) Open Navit Then I could see my myself on my map. In the end it became too fussy to play with for me. Turn by Turn Voice Nav is not a major deal to me. I was just trying a new toy... But again: there is a whole sub-forum just for Navit. This discussion would really move forward much better if it were in the proper neighborhood.
