Is there a way to make m.youtube.com display properly on the Touchpad?

The grid menu doesn't show up in the upper right hand corner like it does on my Pre2.

I think they're displaying the WAP version for feature phones, so unless you change your user agent or if there's a URL parameter to set it to the enhanced version you won't be able to get the usual mobile version.

Can I change it to make it think I'm running Android? Everything seems to work with that. :/

Or better yet, a Pre phone, since it views well on my phone?

Can somebody explain to me why the Touchpad and the Pre2 get different results even though they are both mobile devices running the same browser?

Well, I copied the address that my Pre 2 gets directed to when you go to m.youtube.com:

    YouTube

And on the Touchpad I got the grid menu that you're supposed to get. Wonder why it doesn't automatically redirect to that address. At least I found a workaround for now.

    A shorter url.

When I use m.youtube.com with Advanced Browser on my TouchPad, I discovered that it took me to http://m.youtube.com/#/home and shows the grid menu.
When using http://m.youtube.com/#/home with the stock webOS browser, it also shows the grid menu.

It's because Advanced Browser is just the stock browser with a few utility enhancements to make browsing a bit more robust and useful. Same core engine under the hood; it's not a different browser in the true sense of the phrase at all.

The idea that Advanced Browser is somehow a different browser with its own engine (like, say, Firefox vs. Chrome) is a huge misconception around here. It isn't like that at all, and if something fails in stock webOS browser, it'll fail just as hard in Advanced Browser because, when you get rid of the utilities Advanced Browser has that the stock browser doesn't, they're the exact same thing.

I was just pointing out to khazoury that although m.youtube.com in the stock webOS browser "fails" to show the grid menu in the upper right hand corner, Advanced Browser handles it quite nicely by a redirect to m.youtube.com/#/home (with one of those fancy "utility enhancements" that the stock browser lacks).
Therefore, his TouchPads stock browser can use the shorter m.youtube.com/#/home addy to see the grid menu as a better workaround vs. using the longer m.youtube.com/?use_blazer=1&tsp=1#/home url that his Pre2 redirects m.youtube.com to.

In no way had I implied that Advanced Browser is a "different browser with its own engine" and I agree with (& had already known) the sum of your explanation.

Since I'm not at all familiar with the Pre2, what are your thoughts on why the stock browser on khazoury's Pre2 gives him the desired results and of GMMan's comments?
