Not sure if it's been said yet, but Astraware have just added Solitaire. I've purchased a copy (am I the first?) to support their efforts.

If they would only put Sudoku in landscape mode, I'd have the set

Well we were just going to start a thread on this, and you've beaten us to it!

Astraware Solitaire for Touchpad is available now. More details here, including an App Catalog link: Astraware Solitaire for HP TouchPad

We're also on the way to the next target, hopefully Astraware Solitaire will help!

Awesome work folks - we're past 2800 apps total for all 3 games, and more than 200 people have already got Astraware Solitaire on their Touchpads!

It's great to hear your feedback. OddBlob, our claymation-style arcade puzzler is the next target, and Astraware Casino after that.

Does anybody in the US want a free copy? I won one in the giveaway earlier this week, but I can't use the promo code as I live in Canada (the code's US only).

Just PM me, it's first come first serve.

Is this crashing for anyone else? I can't play it anymore and that makes me sad.

But I did like it before the crashes started, solid app and I hope it starts working again soon.

    Hi

Did you email our support about this? If not, please email to support @ astraware.com with details of what you were playing, which version of the OS you have and whether you're running a custom kernel on your Touchpad, and then we can investigate further.

Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but I have a question for Astraware...

After the development of 3 games for webOS, can you tell us what the team thinks? Is it getting easier? Do they find it too difficult? Are they enjoying working with webOS? What's their favorite color?

I asked our CTO, David Oakley to reply. Here's what he had to say:

"Developing our TouchPad games has been very much a continuation of our earlier work for the Pre, with some new research needed into handling the different screen size, default orientation and the need for a pop-up keyboard when necessary. All our games are based on a common framework, so once that was upgraded to support the TouchPad each game development wasn't too difficult.

"Developing for webOS certainly isn't as comfortable as desktop development or iOS (or I guess Windows Phone, but we've not worked much on that yet) where you get a fully integrated GUI with easy-to-use on-device debugging and such. But equally it's more straightforward than C++ development on Android which is pretty arcane.

"Life is made easier because we're only targeting a single device with a screen resolution that we've already got for our iPad games. Is it enjoyable? Well, we always get a bit of a thrill out of seeing one of our games fire up for the first time on new hardware..."

    Hope that answers your question.

Looks like Oddblob development is only about 250 more purchases away! Remember, purchases are cumulative for all 3 titles already released (Solitaire, Suduko, and Majong), so if you only have one or two of these games, a purchase of the other one(s) will also contribute to the totalizer.

You'll have to wait and see!

The good news is that OddBlob has been reached, so our CTO has started work on bringing that to Touchpad!
