Does your Mahjong support multiplayer? for example it could be split screen for two people to play simultaneously or over the web for cross platform gameplay against other people? Thanks!

Astraware Mahjong is a Mahjong Solitaire game. It's not the 4-player game that's most popular in Asia.

Yep i'm aware of that. I actually got the idea from here: Solitaire MahJongg - a guide to the world of the computer tile-matching solitaire mahjongg games - Rules

    "TWO-PLAYER
Although this game is often referred to as "solitaire," you can easily play it with 2 or more people. There are several ways you can do this:

    A. Cooperative. No special rules -- just work the puzzle together.

    B. Competitive. Several ways to go here:

    i. Speed free-for-all. The two of you attack the layout together, removing pairs. When you remove a pair, put it on your side of the table. At the end (when the layout is clear or unwinnable) the player with the biggest pile of tiles wins.

ii. Taking turns. Each player gets a turn at removing a pair. A player's turn ends when the player removes a pair or the player concedes (cannot see a pair to remove). Game ends when the layout is cleared or unwinnable by mutual agreement. Player with biggest tile pile wins.

iii. Time-limited turns. Get a one-minute timer. Start it at the beginning of each player's turn. Inevitably, some turns will result in a match being removed and some won't. At the end (when the layout is clear or unwinnable) the player with the biggest pile of tiles wins."

I thought it would be quite a nice feature if it existed but i guess it doesn't. thanks for your fast response though!

No, we don't have that in our version, but I'll certainly put it forward as a suggestion!

As an inspiration, check the old NES game "Shanghai" out for the competition and co-operation mode.

Well thanks to everyone who's bought the game already, you're already more than half way to the Astraware Sudoku target, which is fantastic. Such an amazing response from the webOS community.

I've bought it to try and inject some capital. Never played the game myself and I'll need to find some real instructions (the tutorial in the game is a bit basic).

But I'll do a lot to support webos development.

wow, I see the Totalizer is almost at 1,000 (in fact since it only updates in the morning, surely it must be over by now). But why do Sudoku next? There are several Sudoku games already in the catalog, some free. Same with Solitaire... how about something more unqiue like OddBlob?

son of a Gun... i cant get TOR because the wife will kill me for never being around .. lol

hmmm Mahjong ... i like it!

It's at 1074 currently! Go TouchPads! I would second the motion for maybe switching OddBall and Sudoku only because there are several Sudoku games already and while I liked AW's previous versions, a "unique" title would further differentiate AW from the other dev shops.

(IOW the demand for Sudoku is less since we have some versions, however there was only 1 other Mahjong game and it was pretty good, but the AW version is little better)

never played it before but I'll tip my hat to a large developer just coming out & stating they need to do x in sales to continue to develop for the platform. Not sure I'm psyched about this game in particular but I want to support quality developers & hopefully future titles that I'm keen on! Will be buying it in a few!

Thanks again, and when will Casino be brought over.. !!!

wait so moving forward is the total for all astraware games downloaded? or just mahjong?

    Nice game.
    Glad I bought a copy.

So now...how long to wait until the next app?

    @ mc_gusto:
It counts the downloads for all Astraware apps, not just Mahjong. So: if we have 5000 downloads over all apps, we get all the nice apps

that makes 1000 people buying all 5 apps - GO community!!!
