I just got a hdhomerun prime from silicondust. It is awesome gives me full access to all of my cable channels anywhere on my home network and even works streaming on wifi. Now I need a app for my tp that can access the tuners! Hook me up.

Why don't you just use splashtop? HDHomeRun Prime works with Windows Media Centre. If you run media centre remotely via splashtop you should be golden, no? That's what I do with my TV tuner.

I use splashtop with my sagetv pc ;-) over LAN it works really great!

And the CPU still around 300mhz on the touchpad when watching live tv
Be sure to setup the video display in direct 3d, not overlay.

Does it work as a DLNA server? I'm not seeing anything talking about how the product works.

You can find loads of videos on YouTube if you want to see it in action. Somebody else will have to tell you the details of what goes on behind the UI, but as far as I know it's not a DLNA server...at least not like any I have used.

+1 with a desire for a tuner app that works with HDHomeRun.

(nothing against splashtop, i just don't want to tie up another computer)
