    Just swipe your finger across the name of the document and it'll ask if you want to delete it (as with most TouchPad apps).

    I got WritePad in this week's giveaway and I agree it's pretty nice. I can't figure out where the documents are stored in case I want to copy them elsewhere, though.

    Thanks.
    All the documents are stored in the device internal database. it should be automatically backed up with the device profile but I'm working on adding it to the Save/Restore application, just in case.

    So you seem to have successfully developed a work-around to the much-coveted arrow keys. I think a number of people would be curious as to how you accomplished this, given that these are sorely lacking from the rest of webOS's interface. Is it something that would only work within the program itself, or could that functionality be utilized within other programs and/or the UI itself?

    I used the left and right keys to move the cursor but it locked Wordpad up and had to do a hard reset, tried it again and it crashed again, looks as though it needs some work.

    My wife had an issue where a larger document (6.4k or so) was cut off. She attempted to mail it to herself, to no avail. This persisted through closing and re-opening the app, and a full device restart.

    I ended up shelling in and dumping the database:

    luna-send -n 1 -a com.avnerarbel.writepadhdr luna://com.palm.db/find '{"query":{"from":"enyo.writepadhddb:1"}}' > /var/tmp/writepadhd

    And I was able to successfully extract the data with a bit of Ruby:

    data = JSON.parse(File.read('/var/tmp/writepadhd'))
    data['results'].each { |doc| name = doc['name']['name'].gsub('/','_'); File.open("/var/tmp/recovered/#{name}.txt", "w") { |f| f.write(doc['name']['content']) } }

    Not sure if there is some structural issue with the data or if the length of the content is to blame. I can't provide full content, since it includes work notes and passwords, but I could send it stripped of the content fields (or perhaps with alphanumeric characters replaced with X's.
