Was hoping there would be some kind of fix or patch for the tp that allows it...but I couldn't find anything! Would really love it if a dev got this up and running. FB chat has sadly become my number 1 messenger.

BUMP! yeah i would love to see this as well, i would think we could do soemthing similar as with webos on 1.4.5, but it seems as if that patch no longer works, too bad HP did not integrate that in webos. Anyone have any ideas or work arounds?

    You can use

    https://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php

    for now. It works.

Otherwise look here and see if you can get it to work for the TouchPad.

Although I don't think that works.

    Download IM+ and use that.

Look here for more patch requests/statuses.

One suggestion- you can use PSI or Miranda to add a facebook/xmpp jabber transport to your gmail account.

After doing this your facebook contacts will show up in your gmail chat list regardless of what client you are using. There are similar transports for yahoo, AIM, etc.

this worked perfect for me thanks!!! Facebook in synergy, amazing! The only annoying thing is that the names show up as numbers and you have to manually link the accounts to the Facebook names via synergy. You do see the profile picture though so its easy to figure out who is who. I have over 400 friends so that quite a bit of work!
