Does 0.4.0 see files on mounted network shares (without the "jail" hack: http://forums.precentral.net/hp-touc...-shares.html)?

Just wanted to say thanks for the KalemSoft Media Player 4.0 update. Keep up the good work.

    Agreed,

KalemSoft Mediaplayer is a staple of my touchpad and I've personally recommended it to all 8 other people I know who were lucky enough to purchase one.

    Thanks for your continued support!

Why does this not support DLNA and thus work with other DLNA servers? This would make the app far more usefull than it is right now. The proprietry server this app has, keeps losing the link and then one has to restart the server to get a link again. Also, how in the world do you play a whole album in this? Or for that matter how do you get it to play a whole folder, without having to add each song to the favorite list? This app has a long ways to go if you ask me, considering it does not even have the very basic functionality of a media player. So far I find my money sorta wasted if not a total loss, specially considering the rather high price of this app.

can anyone see video file names in Asian languages?
    (Hindi/Russian/Chinese/Japanese/Arabic/Korean/etc)

the files names show up fine, in the correct foreign
language fonts, when displayed on the Touchpad's
default video player.(or even the Touchplayer)

However, they show up as random meaningless
symbols and characters in Kalemsoft Media Player.
    (both 0.3.7 and 0.4.0)

Same issue with Chinese file names.

    Both on remote and local.

ill be totally happy with it when it wraps filenames (i got the odd ones that are quite long) and sorts them in alphabetical/numerical order.

I really don't understand how the Touchpad's native video player
can decode foreign language video names correct... ye the
Kalemsoft Media Player software can't. (and expect people to
    pay $6.99 for software that's half-baked )

Because it PLAYS VIDEO flawlessly. If you have other needs...wait until they add the feature. There is no need to bash it, just don't buy it......you can sit and rant....while you watch everyone else buy it. It's pretty obvious that they intend on improving it. In the meantime, I'm watching my videos on it and chuckling at people.

    already bought it...

I merely wanted to point out that the stock Touchpad video player and other
free, less capable video and audio players hav no problem with file names in
almost any language, yet the Kalemsoft Media Player can't read those name.

    Hey there,

I can't see the SRT subtitles on my videos with 0.4.0... Is the feature enabled? I have renamed the SRT file samely as the video file :/

    Cheers

The developer said subtitles are not going to happen a few pages ago.
