My list is more of a WebOS 3/enyo wishlist than a Touchpad alone:
last.fm
Netflix
Hulu
MLB at Bat
NHL Gamecenter
ESPN apps
Kindle
Facebook
Twitter
Shazam
StumbleUpon
Yelp

For me is ESSENCIAL

.PDF reader (for my medicine books)
.Google talk with video (to chat with mom and family across the world)

I would LOVE

.AOs app (Orthopedics clasification, available on iOS)
.Shazam
.Music app (like Music Remix)

Cant wait to get my hands on Pre3 - Touchpad pack!

It sucks that Cablevision doesnt offer HBO-Go service.

Just sent them an email asking for it.

Some DJing software would be nice, but connecting to a DJ setup might get tricky. Imagine building your set, storing it locally to avoid any connectivity issues, and then removing when you don't need it anymore. It would be cool to carry around a tiny tablet vs. a 7-lb laptop. Does anybody have anything like this on another platform?

-a GOOD PDF viewer that works

netflix and hulu I dont care nearly as much about, most of my needs for the tablet work in the webbrowser well (precentral, thisismynext, engadget, bbc, steam) etc

My wife just bought an iPad and I've been stealing it at every opportunity. Right now I'm on the fence - iPad or TouchPad. The two apps I found myself using constantly on the iPad though were:

- netflix (supposed to be coming to TouchPad but not immediately - this might sway my decision)
- garageband (I'm guessing there'll be nothing close, but it would be _really_ nice to have a good music creation program)

Others I'll probably use all the time (but haven't used so much when just borrowing the iPad):

- Kindle app (I use my kindle all the time)
- PDF viewer (for oreilly books that will be perfect on the touchpad format screen)
- Skype is 'nice to have', but it's much more essential on a cellphone in my opinion, but then it would be nice to have something that competes with facetime.
- Good terminal or SSH client (sysadmin by trade)

1. I would like a few games to start. Nothing special. Maybe some casino, card, or board games.
2. I'd also really like to see some educational apps. Stuff for little kids. Some counting games or coloring.
3. How about a Zune music player app? Come on, I love my Zune HD. Microsoft and HP have a good working relationship. It would be great if I could make the TP one of my devices so that I could synch music to it.
4. And get Amazon on board so that they can have an Amazon app store.
5. How about a photoshop app.

We all want this to succeed but without apps and A LOT OF THEM, this will go no where. Not when Apple and Android have so much to offer.

It all starts and ends with Desktop Virtualization. Citrix is there and I hope more are coming.

Teamviewer would be extremely nice.

Kindle has been announced, but I'll still mention it.

This is what I use on the iPad: About Air Video
Maybe start a petition to have them develop something for webOS.

There's almost certainly going to be a terminal app for the TouchPad, and I expect this will be done by the webosinternals guys rather than someone writing a dedicated ssh app like prompt. It would be nice to have something pretty, but I'm content with something that works.
