Last year, I started the buy an app day to mark the 1 yr anniversary of the pre's launch, and it was a smashing success.

fast forward a year, and there's only a few of us, albeit a passionate few, left, relatively speaking. However, I think we should give this a go again, mainly to support the developers who have stuck with webos and made it the best platform out there.

last year precentral gave this their support on the front page and we even
had a twitter feed. I hope we have the same turnout this year...hopefully by then the veer advertising will kick in, the touchpad and pre3's launch date and carrier will be more clear, and webOS can regain its heartbeat.

what say you, precentral community, shall we revive the "Buy an App" day again?

    June 6th, 2011.

    Please spread the word!

Also, don't forget to donate to webosinternals, jason r., and some of the other homebrew crew if you don't want to purchase apps.

I would definitely be interested. What do you think the best way to have an organized listing of top apps would be?

I think it's helpful to put a brief description next to the app to help potential buyers.

Count me in! Been buying app a day since i got my new Veer anyway. Devs Please make some apps for the small screen veer & pixi, the catalogue is too sparse!

Just purchased Splashtop to add to my collection of useful stuff. Here are my favorites:

Newsroom - Simple and intuitive (could use a landscape option...falling behind apps like Pulse on Android tech wise)
Precentral.net App (unofficial) - very useful
    Daily Devo
Splashtop - my latest addition providing remote desktop access to my Mac, Boxee, Netflix, etc...
Dr. Podder - still reliable and great program
    Pandora - nuff said...

What's amazing from last year was all the games I bought that I hardly play now. The games I still play include:

Asphalt5 HD - quick and easy to get into
Supersonic (free) - simply because I haven't gotten past the first level yet

Actually, speaking of old stuff...wonder how I can permanently remove old stuff I no longer use? When I reset my phone on occasion, webOS auto downloads stuff I haven't looked at or used for over a year. Weird! Sorli...

I'm in again. It will also be my one year anniversary on Twitter as I created my account specifically for this event last year (and then got sucked in...)

    Suggestions:

    Carbon - Twitter
    Music Player (Remix)
    SecuStore
    - Password storage and generator
Track My Work Time card app
    DrPodder
    Word Whirl
    - Great game
    Wobble Words - Great game
    Any of the SportsLive apps
Preware Homebrew Documentation - 'cause it supports webOSinternals
    Foursquare
    Checkbook

These are in no particular order, but they are apps that I use on a regular basis, many of them daily, and am glad to have paid for.
