off topic but if 1 day you ever supported the ability to play video or music files via ftp storage (ie: home nas drives or similar) without downloading the entire media to device, id buy this in an instant.

Or found a way to do this and have KSMP/touchplayer do the playback work, id be all over it.

As FTPit! is written in Mojo you probably won't get to see this in my app, sorry...

The easiest way to do this was to create a local HTTP gateway, but that might still be massive work.

I'd love to see some auto colour-coding in the text editor to make it easier to make changes to HTML on-the-go.
Regardless I will likely be buying this app soon!

Sorry for the repeat post but I think my other one got missed!

Are there any plans to introduce syntax color-coding to the text editor? I believe there is an open source script for this called jEdit

Oops, sorry, for some reason I missed your original post...
Syntax highlighting probably won't be included anymore, sorry.
(By the way, jEdit is for Java, not JavaScript )

Oops! Haha, rookie mistake. I just saw that script mentioned in another webOS thread, so assumed it was javascript.

Shame about the syntax highlighting, but I'll probably be purchasing soon anyway regardless.

- Added some high-resolution icons for the Pre 3 (thanks to Shaun Bowen!)
- Added setting to hide logout warning

Thanks for adding the icons.
I've been using FTPit! to backup my Save/Restore directory. That, combined with my HP webOS account means I don't have to worry so much about ever losing or breaking my phone, as nearly all my information and settings are backed up.

Just a quick suggestion - this thread should really also be in the main Apps section of this forum. There are quite a few users who may never look in the Touchpad threads.

A thread can't be in several forums at once.
webOS Nation's forum structure is just a mess...

I meant to upload these a while ago but forgot!
I've designed my own icons for FTPit, just so I can have a hi-res version for my Pre3.
To install them you'll need Internalz:
  1. Copy both files below to the folder media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/de.pcworldsoftware4.ftpit/
  2. Open to the file media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/de.pcworldsoftware4.ftpit/app/views/Accounts/Accounts-scene.html Find the section fourth line down with background: url(./icon.png) and change it to background: url(./FTP_64.png) This is the image at the top left of the app when it's running.
  3. Open the file media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/de.pcworldsoftware4.ftpit/appinfo.json find the line that says "icon": "icon.png", and change it to "icon": "FTP_256.png", (Pre3) or "icon": "FTP_64.png", (All other devices).
  4. Luna Restart your phone.

Today about three years ago I started work on FTPit!, my first to-be-released webOS project (released about 10+ months later). Good memories!
Too bad I never got around to finalize the FTPS feature, which wasn't that far from being finished.

So good birthday FTPit!

Shame webOS never took off fully. FTPit! is in my top 3 webOS apps.
