I'd thought it be cool to get an updated list of Must have apps post PDK:

    Here are mine:
    • Grooveshark Mobile -eagerly waiting updates
    • Dr. Podder
    • Tunein -this app gets more refined with each update
    • Guitarist's Reference Pro -amazing, waiting for tuning via mic
    • Neato
    • The Weather Channel
    • Powernap -this gets me up and ready for 3rd shift. Love that I can adjust length of nap via dashboard
    • Dictionary
    • Newsroom -great rss reader with dashboard notifications

This isn't an exhaustive list of all my apps but these are the ones I can't live without.

We're all so different, I have only one of those even installed — that would be Dr Podder.

The most important / frequently used application that does not come with the OS, must be PreWare. And the least used (fiddled with) that I would miss the most if I had to live without it must be Mode Swither.

    {I never liked playing with cards until webOS made it useful}

Thank you sooo much Nickhoward, I didn't know TuneIn...IT IS AWESOME !
I was sad that my Pixi+ didn't have a FM tuner, but with this app it's no longer a problem !!
    Perfect app !

I don't have any of those... But I would love for "Tweet Me" to be updated. Seem like it's been neglected by the developer.

I found your descriptions of each app so funny. Like our Pre, we are all getting old!!

I like smooth jazz, but it doesn't mix well with driving (at least for me).

Thanks everyone, my first Pre is on it's way so this thread is most helpful.

Reminds me of the old joke...

Or one I heard, "The nice thing about driving in the midwest is that, if you fall asleep at the wheel and go off the road, odds are pretty good that you'll run out of gas before you hit anything."

On topic, I've only had my Pre about a month, and I'm gradually migrating off of my old Palm T3 after about 10 years as a PalmOS user. What I'm using mostly so far:

    NewsRoom
    DrPodder
ClassicNote - so great to have my 10 years worth of Palm Memo items back
Keyring - Open source password manager. Replacing STRIP (Secure Tool for Recalling Important Passwords)
    Facebook
    Pandora
    No-Nonsense Weather
Preware - the source for several of the above apps

Still looking for replacements for HandyShopper, (shopping list program), MyCheckbook, (Financial record keeper), and BigClock, (multi-purpose clock app: Multiple alarms with configurable repeat options, stopwatch, countdown timer) I know they're out there and I've installed a couple freebies, I just haven't spent a lot of time testing any yet.

    Simsor,
Glad you like it. Tunein is great, especially since my powered antenna was up when I went through the car wash. I love reading these list because all of you have great apps! It is so much easier to find good apps this way rather then looking through the catalog or reviews. When webOS reaches like 100,00 apps we'll have to be more specific but for now we can include everybody.
