I'm glad to see "Forced Re-start" included. Is it equally possible to implement a similar "Forced Hibernate" option?

I don't think you need to force hibernate. It should hibernate quite happily even if you have unsaved docs.

    am I missing something?

Well... I tried the hibernate command and nothing happened on my desktop. I just tried it once, and will try again. In the past I had similar problems with "restart" that "force restart" solved. I thought that there might be a more forcefull kind of hibernate command?

It could be that your system just doesn't support hibernate. I understand that not all PCs do.
