Well, I've had many resets and freezing issues since installing this on my Pre+. I previously had been running at a constant 600mhz via command line without any stability issues. I've decided to uninstall this app. FWIW, before upgrading to 1.4 I had run the 550 Smartreflex patch for a while without any issues.

I'm not sure I agree with your explanation that any issues with this app are due to a "bad" processor. There's many variables at work here and describing the processor as being "bad" is somewhat misleading. Good luck working on this. Hopefully it'll work for me in the future!

I would like to point out that since reinstalling both .ipks I have been running it all day without issue. I have seen excellent battery life as well.

Hey Pete in the next App can you add the option to choose minimum Frequency and Maximum, because i would like for my phone to go to 125mhz if it can handle while on idle. or 250mhz for that matter.

hey guys what i noticed is that when im on a phone call both the 125mhz frequency & 600mhz are getting used. The numbers keep going up on both of these, is this normal?

Hej Pete, seems to me that your patch scales only 125 <-> 250 <-> 600 and not to 500 and 550. Is that even possible?

I'm back to running a constant 600mhz. If you're looking for an overall performance improvement running a constant 550mhz or 600mhz is the most reliable way to get it. This can be done via command line or by using caj2008's patches. These solutions have a minimal impact on battery drain too.

At some point I hope we're able to get a performance improvement along with battery savings. For the time being it looks like caj2008 is getting close with his 720/800mhz kernels.

first time I applied the app it worked PERFECT, hadn't even the delay in the menu. Such speed made me stop thinking about replacing the pre.
After a few hours without problems it rebooted when taking it off the cable hooked to the pc. I turned scaling back on, but from then on I'm not sure, I think it may be faster, but only a bit, the menu has it's stuttering starts again... =(

I just downloaded WebOS Doctor and Quick Install on my work PC because I couldn't wait until I got home to try this out.

So far my device is running well, only been about 20 minutes or so. Have about 15 cards open ATM, device is running smooth. Haven't done any testing to see if there's a real noticable differernce or if it's placebo but I plan to after I get home from work.

A little more description of what the CPU scaling actually does/is would be nice. Thans number1pete, look forward to testing this out some and any future developement.

**EDIT** Finally hit "Sorry, too many cards" after 20 open cards. Happy and sad at the same time, lol.

yeah the current kernel is a little janky...you can tell it to scale from 500-->600 and it will just scale from 125mhz to 600mhz sometimes. But sometimes it doesnt do it at all and scales normally from 500--600mhz. looks like your scaling good....the majority of the time your at 500mhz and 600mhz....you spend very little to non in 550mhz and 250mhz....it does look like your dropping down to 125mhz a little. if you phone can handle 125mhz then there is nothing wrong with using it (more batery at idle).

the new version will have many more settings. However with the janky kernel, setting the minimum frequency doesnt always work like its supposed to. But ill still include the 250-->600 and 125-->600 in the next release. I was also thinking about 600mhz constant and 125-->500mhz for the battery people out there.

Yea please a setting like that would be great because my phone can handle, the 125mhz frequency perfectly fine.

Also is there a reason why my phone on phone calls runs both 600mhz and 125mhz??? lol Is that normal? i saw both numbers increasing when i kept checking time in state maybe a glitch?

depends on cpu utilization during phone calls. Knowing that the cdma radio is doing most of the work it doesn't surprise me that you drop below 20% utilization at times. Runt top in terminal during a phone call to check it out. I can alway take the up threshold down to 11% to accomedate this.

on a good note, I finished the new version of the app on the plane home from hawaii. I will release it within the new few days. It has multiple settings that everyone asked for.
