I have a Verizon Pre Plus and upgrades to webOS 1.4 over the weekend. My browser will not go to any webpages.

I read elsewhere that I should uninstall the multi mod patch, but I am unable to do so, neither with Preware nor WOSQI.

Here's the error message I get when attempting to uninstall the multi mod patch in WOSQI:

    Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

did you try with device management in the webos q.i?

I got that same message yesterday. I don't even see it in my patch list in Q.I or Preware. And my browser won't launch beyond a white screen.... I also tried in Device Management in Q.I. I am beyond baffled at this point. Any ideas?

I had the same issue. Use the 1.4 doctor to fix it.

How about an "I've-never-had-any-patches-and-the-internet-doesn't-work-on-wifi-after-the-update" problem? Anyone seeing that issue?

    Thanks!

I'm a little wary of the DOCTOR. Do I need to remove themes, patches, etc before going to see the DOCTOR?

    I have WOSQI v3.01.

Is that the correct version in order to use the DOCTOR?

Do I just go to FILE > OPTIONS > PANIC BUTTON with my Pre+ hooked up via USB?

Sadly, I think I'm going to have to too. I've tried everything I can find in these forums to try. So I guess it's off to the doc for me.... :/

My browser wasn't working and my theme wouldn't un-install. I couldn't get that multi mod patch to show to delete it .... it was just a mess. I tried everything I could find here on the forums to try, but either it just wasn't working for me of I wasn't doing them right. Which is very possible! lol! SO, I used the doc. I'm back up and running with the browser, and the theme is gone. Yay! I'm now downloading 1.4.

Now I'm going to wade through the forums again to see what patches are and are not working right. I don't want to do this again if I can help it!

I had the same problem over the weekend but was unable to remove the patch through preware under updates. I went to update my patches and clicked remove, restarted luna, then reinstalled the patch. Haven't had a problem since. hopefully this will work for you as I was very weary of having to run Doctor. I've already been down that path once

What's funny is that the DOC worked like a charm and my apps where still there. I just finished downloading the update and all my apps are gone. :/ No biggie, they were just free ones that I can download again, but I thought it was odd...

if they were the free ones from the app catalog just do a partial erase and they will download themselves
