I've tried a number of apps and patches to try to save power. CPU scaling, things that turn data on and off easily. Right now I'm using the Data and GPS toggle apps and have found them convenient and not likely to drain battery just bt their presence on the Pre (some patches like adding data on/off to the right hand drop down menu, or hiding certain icons seemed to reduce battery life).

Now I'm playing with Quick System Tasks and find it very robust. My only worry is, am I sacrificing some speed or battery life by having it running in the background (tray?)? The toggle apps are merely remote controls for base system functionality. QST seems to be an active app.

Any experience with this?

Thanks!
