Is it possible for me to convert an ebook that I purchased via ShortCovers so that it would be accessible by PalmReader or pReader? I noticed that I can download it as an ePub format from their website but I'm not sure what to do with that.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

If the ePub doesn't have DRM, you can use Calibre to convert it to basically any other format: calibre - E-book management

I'm pretty sure the Shortcovers books use the Adobe epub DRM format ... you can read them on your PC using Adobe Digital Editions. Which means they're protected and either impossible or difficult to convert. pReader actually has done some work with copy-protected files, so you might check with the guy who does that.

If so, there's a way to break the DRM on them. Google something like "circumvent DRM adobe adept" and you should find out how.

So it sounds like I should just buy from eReader next time
I would be able to read those on my Pre without jumping thru hoops. Is that correct?

Shortcovers is not too bad...but I just can't stand having to wait 30 seconds in between each chapter...or losing my place everytime I close the program.
