A friend of mine is an iPhone guy and just downloaded the I Am T Pain app. It's a stripped down version of auto tune that T Pain uses to sound computerized and Kanye uses to sound like a fish under water. I have no idea how difficult it would be to get something like this working in WebOS, but it's a really fun app. So, I'm just throwing that out there as a sweet project idea for you.

At this point of time it is basically impossible.

First off we don't have access to the microphone.
Second javascript parsing of audio binaries would be extremely hard to do.
Third javascript would take forever to parse those binaries.
Fourth spitting out a properly encoded audio file in javascript file would be hard and take forever.
Fifth we would have to be able to save the file (in ordered to be played by the app/browser) and webos doesn't have the ability to save files unless they are downloaded from the net.

Palm has a long way to go before developers can make a powerful app.
