    Hello. First, if this is the wrong spot to post this, please move it.

    I am having trouble. If I send something using my gmail account on my pre, it sends right away. But when I send something on my hotmail account, it always fails.

    Could somebody please help me fix this?

    If you're using wifi, make sure your ISP isn't blocking port 25. You could try turning off wifi and see if it sends.

    I just found these instructions, but they don't seem to work for me. Maybe they will work for you:
    Here’s the information to configure your account on your preferred e-mail client:

    - POP3 Server: pop3.live.com (port 995)
    - SMTP Server: smtp.live.com (port 25) {Note: If port 25 has been blocked in your network or by your ISP, you can set SMTP port to 587 with TLS or SSL Encryption depending on the client in use}

    - Username: your full e-mail address
    - Password: your Windows Live ID password

    Also, our POP3 service requires that you use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) with the POP and SMTP connection and use SMTP authentication. This is to ensure that your e-mail address and password are not subject to tampering.

    Thanks, it was a WiFi issue. Been trying to figure this one out for a while now.
