HP Touchstone 2 available

In case anyone was looking for one of these super-rare accessories, I just stumbled onto one on ebay:

HP Palm Touchstone 2 with Audio Out Phone not Included Extremely RARE | eBay

Too expensive for me personally, but I'm sure there's a collector out there who'd want it.

Would be nice but I picked up 2 original touchstones for £20 for my Pre 3. That auction price is taking the ....

This is the unreleased touchstone 2 that uses bluetooth to have audio out from the Pre 3

Yep. Derek posted a review a while back now. Apparently audio quality wasn't great and they didn't use the gecko feet sticky bottom. Still, I like how well it looks to hold the Pre 3 so much better.

For my money I'd rather by 20 regular Touchstones and go out for a nice dinner though!

For real! It wasn't an auction, it was a "buy now" for $325...so I did. It's supposed to be a new prototype that was tested and working properly on Feb. 6th. The seller has a 100% rating from over 700 reviews, so I thought I'd take the chance. He's got all manner of other webOS stuff for sale.
If you look for some of my earlier posts around here, you'll see I've been drooling over these ever since they first appeared. Delivery date is Thursday or Friday. I'll keep you all informed!

So jelly. Cruel of me, but I want to dissect one of these.

Does anyone have links on tech details for the Touch to Share coils? Hardware and maybe software? Surely Rod and the like have looked at it. Wonder if we could add our own sensor to a Touchstone 1 with a patch to turn on and connect to a bluetooth audio receiver when detected.

Heck, wouldn't even have to be by the TS. Could hide it behind the stereo or whatever.

This new one is $25 more and has shipping costs. At least MY obscenely overpriced purchase was not AS obscenely overpriced as this one!

I would love to have one and would be willing to pay ~$100-~$120 just to own a piece of webOS history but $360 wow.

I'd have gone for $150. *Maybe* $200 shipped... But yeah... that is pushing my budget. Can't get this and the midnight blue tux jacket (like the one from Skyfall!) that I want...
