As the title says, my Pre2 has horrible interference for the person on the other end of the line when the phone drops to 2G, but on 3G it is fine, in fact probably as good as I have had.

The bluetooth is a radio in a Toyota (Kluger) Highlander, with A2DP and BT.

This is replicable by locking the phone to 2G as well as when it just drops there by itself from 3G.

    Any thoughts / suggestions?

That's definitely a new one. I'll try that on a couple of Bluetooth devices (I don't have a Toyota) and see if I can duplicate that. You might want to hit the googles and see if the Bluetooth radio is part of the 2G radio and/or antenna. That could also provide some clues...
