    i have a pre and the screen is damaged so i cant turn the bluetooth on to synce my contacts to another phone that isnt a palm.
    the scree is compleeetly unresponsive..... i need help.

    your contacts should be backed up to the cloud via palm synergy . when you get your new phone it will automatically restore contacts upon signing into your profile. thats about all you got going for ya at this point

    So if I have a scratch on my screen, my choices are to live with it, get a new phone, or try one of those scratch-removal tricks (like Lemon Pledge)?

    Most phone stores will be able to transfer the contacts for you. It takes them 10 minutes and they use adapters to move the contacts from one to another. As long as the phone powers on they can get them. Having said that, I keep my Pre synched with Google so it isn't an issue for me.
