Ok, I created an ipk file but don't have hosting for it.

They are very easy to upload to and you can get a direct link or if you want to, email it to me and I can put it up.

Well, reading through this thread and the rest of this forum would be a start. Until PreGame can upload his ipk, you would have to root your Pre to install the app. If you don't know what Terminal is, I would wait for the ipk. ok its late and i just found this site for my pre... so how the do i get the flashlight app for the pre? im lost!!!

Welcome to the forums.I keep on getting the following message when I try to run the script after untar the tar file.
** Message: _response: got response {"errorCode":"ErrorGenericServiceNotFound", "errorText":"Service Not Found"}
** Message: _timeout: timeout occured
I guess I will have to wait for the IPK.

Similar here. Went ever I run the scripts to run the prelease it won't reconize that its there. I know I extracted the tar right and that it's there. I guess I'll have to wait for the .ipk also....
Someone, please help this man out. Anyone.

Here, I can upload it to my website right now if you want. It will be just a raw upload nothing else and should work. PM me and I'll give you my email to send the file to me.

Pregame go to the original message and edit it to I manage attachments and upload the ipk it will then have the email link like the notification app.
Please let us know when this app is available for unrooted Pre's... I miss having a flashlight on my phone!
Yeah this would be sweet for unrooted pres. People should develop there applications for unrooted. Unless there is a reason rooted is needed.

Rename the Prelease.jar to prelease.jar and vi the .js of the app. It is a few pages in to this thread.I get this error code after running
