I was thinking the the other day HP should call their flagship slab phone the HP Palm

I know the brand is dead, but I could see them using it like the use the Compaq name.

I thought of that myself. It'd be a great name for marketing. Something along of the lines of "Superior multitasking, full fledged web browsing with Adobe Flash, and HP Synergy - all in the Palm of your hands"
I dream of World Wide webOS.

Sorry, 'Aura' is already taken by Motorola with their flagship phone.

I actually like the OP idea of calling a new HP flagship phone the "Palm". HP already owns the name and it has brand recognition that goes back to the original business PDA.
    Palm m130 > Verizon Trēo 650 > Verizon Trēo 755p > Verizon Palm Prē Plus > TouchPad > Verizon Palm Prē 2

Yea but can they get a trademark for it?

Remember the trouble they had trying to get PalmPad trademarked?

Fred. The next HP product should be called that.

We have a tv channel here in the UK called Dave...

What about the HP "Share". The next webOS device should use the TouchPad's "Touch-to-Share" technology.

"webOS" - it's quality versus quantity.

    HP Edge

makes for easy "cutting edge" campaign (as long as the specs support it)

Hey, I almost got an Aura instead of a pre 2 (coming from a treo pro). It's a far more compelling phone than it's Porsche Design competitors as it is absolutely gorgeous Anyway I really like the 'Palm' name, but I would really like the return of the 'Pilot' name, or even 'LifeDrive'.

HP YAGSPCFIS, acronym for "Yet Another Garbage Slate Phone Catered For iSheep"
Palm IIIc -> Sony CLIΙ T650C -> Sony TJ-37 -> Palm TX -> Palm Centro -> Palm Pre Bell -> Palm Pre Plus Bell/Verizon Hybrid -> HP Veer -> HP Pre 3 NA -> BlackBerry Classic -> BlackBerry Priv

It's a Late Goodbye, such a Late Goodbye.

There is a saying, which my friends and I have coined. It comes from the film industry.

There was a guy who wouldn't deliver a script. He kept delaying, telling the producers that he was trying to get it right. Finally the producer said:

"I don't want it RIGHT, I want it MONDAY!"

I guess the point is: WHO CARES WHAT THEY CALL IT??
