Why Is There So Many Preware Download Links?

Why is there so many Preware links? I wanted to download Preware to my Desktop, because I only had it on my Laptop. So I went to download it, and I just kept being taking to different sites, and ended up re-downloading older versions.

Can someone please update the links on this site and it's dedicated Preware forum threads? Maybe have an (Updated) Quick Install, WebOS Doctor; along with Preware links? Just an easy place to get those Updated apps; without having to be redirected to site after site; and downloading older versions of the software. I don't want to sound whinney, but it's maddening seeing links that say "Download", but then just taken to yet more sites and thread posts.

Using webosquickinstall you can always get the latest version automatically by choosing package manager service and preware from the webos-internals (all) feed.

I don't get it. Webos quickinstal has it all updated. Why mess with less than current versions?
